Peter Perkins' Solarvan Peter is a policeman and part-time mad inventor who has spent the past couple of years converting his Bedford Rascal into the environmentally-friendly Solarvan. Power is provided by an electric motor fed by a series of solar panels, which are mounted on the Rascal's roof. A full charge will allow 30 miles of emissions-free motoring at speeds of more than 40mph. Could this tiny load-lugger be the future of 'green' motoring? Let us know what you think.
