If you're wearing a groove in the road between home and work, do you have to? If possible, why not:
|
- share the commute with a neighbourly colleague.
- change your route. It's as good as a rest, and there may be (well, it's possible) less traffic.
- change the time you travel. Leaving home half an hour earlier - or later - can make a big difference to your journey time.
|
|
- Use other forms of transport for a couple of days each week
Long-distance
It's a silent killer, so as soon as you feel tired or dull:
- stop at the next opportunity.
- take a brisk walk.
- eat (avoid sugar, fat, dairy products) a little.
- drink plenty, but avoid excessive caffeine and sugar. These do produce bursts of energy, but they are quickly followed by sluggishness.
